We need your input!
One project we are keen to get underway is Welcome signs for our Village.
We are at the beginning stages of developing this project, and before we can set the design parameters, we need help from you, the Te Kamo community, to make sure it reflects the spirit of Te Kamo and incorporates a wide range of voices and perspectives.
What would you like to see on the signs? What should they look like?
Some things to consider are:
- Aspects of Te Kamo and the history that could be incorporated
- Keywords /phrases / symbols that capture the spirit of the Village
- Possible Design features (including movable parts)
- Wording for the Sign
- Possible materials
For inspiration we have made a pinterest board including images from other New Zealand signs, pictures of the existing murals, historical signs, and pictures of the village. If there is anything else we should add to the inspiration board, let us know!

We will be seeking independent funding for this project once we are much further down the planning track, and can provide specific plans and costs to potential funders.
